James Lane’s residential site continued my experiment of using one huge image on the homepage, similar to Harmon & Holcomb. The client’s wanted the site to carry across a message of being very warm and friendly and I think focusing on people helps accomplish this.
Their site houses a vast amount of information about the company and their services but is presented in a way that helps keep it easy to read and digest. The site is of course powered by WordPress and is built using HTML5 and CSS3 and contains only a couple lines of Javascript to auto-clear input forms when clicked. This site is notable as it was the beginning of my push for more CSS3 based animation and effects versus heavy Javascript usage.
